John F. Holliday
Instructor-led Training with Hands-on Labs
Professional .NET Developers with WSS Fundamentals
4 Days
This developer-intensive 4-day course explores the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) features of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS). You will learn to identify the specific content patterns that drive business processes, enabling you to build comprehensive solutions that manage all aspects of the ECM lifecycle, including document auditin, versioning and security, check-in/check-out, information policy, official records and holds, and workflow. You will also learn to use MOSS and Visual Studio to build your own custom content management components, which can then be used to support metadata gathering via electronic forms (InfoPath 2007), business process automation via Windows Workflow Foundation and document automation using Open XML.
Attendees should have professional development experience with Visual Studio 2005 or 2008, the .NET framework and ASP.NET as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. It is also recommended (but not required) that attendees have a working knowledge of the Windows Workflow Foundation and creating declarative workflows using Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007.
